Wings of Hope: Airlines' Bold Gambit in Post-Ceasefire Middle East

International airlines are gradually re-opening Middle Eastern routes since the January truce between Hamas and Israel. United Airlines is re-opening the first U.S. flights to Tel Aviv on March 15, 2025, and Delta follows April 1. Lufthansa Group European airlines have already begun flying again. Air France and its low-cost subsidiary Transavia France have resumed flights to Tel Aviv, with Beirut services set to resume shortly. The gradual return marks a possible new chapter for Middle Eastern aviation, as carriers weigh safety and demand in the region. The resumption is likely to increase connectivity and tourism in the region.
