40% Rural Youth Struggle for Jobs Due to Skill and Language Gaps, Report Reveals

A recent survey by Vertex Global Services highlights that 40% of rural youth in India face challenges securing jobs due to limited vocational training and poor English proficiency. With 70% of India’s population living in rural areas but contributing only 46% to GDP, the skill gap is widening. Many youths aspire to leave agriculture for better opportunities but lack access to training and financial support. Initiatives like PMKVY aim to bridge this gap, but experts call for stronger public-private partnerships to empower rural youth.
