A Life of Impact: Chandrika Tandon Celebrates Hansa Mehta's Visionary Spirit

Grammy-winning artist Chandrika Tandon presented an inspiring keynote speech at the Dr. Hansa Mehta Memorial Lecture at the United Nations, speaking on the lessons of "power and purpose" to be gleaned from Mehta's life. Tandon pointed to Mehta's foresight as a leader in securing gender-sensitive terminology within the Universal Declaration of Human Rights, substituting "all men" with "all human beings." Grammy-award winner, Tandon, who has won an award in the Grammy categories just last month for her "Triveni" album, hailed Mehta's passion for education and human rights and led generations through her pathbreaking initiatives. The reception honored Mehta's long legacy as a leading voice for equality and dignity.
