A New Dawn on Women's Day: Delhi's Rs 2,500 Scheme Transforms Lives

The Delhi BJP government is planning to introduce the eagerly awaited Mahila Samriddhi Yojana on March 8, 2025, International Women's Day. Registration for the scheme, assuring Rs 2,500 a month for financially weaker sections of women, will begin the same day. BJP MP Manoj Tiwari declared the exercise of bifurcating beneficiaries and drafting the list to take about a month and half. The plan aims at women between 18-60 years with family incomes ranging from Rs 2.5-3 lakh per year. Chief Minister Rekha Gupta promised that even though she had inherited "empty coffers" from the earlier government, the BJP will deliver on its election promise to Delhi's women.
