The Students Islamic Organization (SIO) and former Minorities Commission Chairman Abid Rasool Khan have expressed concerns that such lavish spending does not align with the long-term welfare needs of the community. They suggest using the funds to establish educational institutions or support programs that could leave a lasting impact on Muslim socio-economic development. This call reflects a broader desire for substantial investments in areas like scholarships, employment opportunities, and healthcare, which are seen as more effective in fostering real progress for the community.
