Aamir Khan’s ‘PK’: A Story Rewritten After ‘Inception’ Stole the Spotlight

Recently, Aamir Khan expressed his displeasure with the finished version of Rajkumar Hirani's 2014 film "PK." Because Hirani was afraid of being compared to Christopher Nolan's "Inception," the film's script saw substantial changes following its release. Like "Inception," "PK" first investigated changing perceptions by going back in time. Hirani changed the script to avoid being accused of copying, despite Aamir's advice to disregard the similarities. Both Aamir and Hirani were still unhappy with the finished cut in spite of these adjustments. Even so, the movie was a huge hit, grossing over ₹340 crore in India. Aamir's open admission sheds light on the artistic difficulties encountered while producing "PK."
