Accelerating Change: Volvo's Two New Electric Cars in 2025

Volvo will launch two new electric models next year as part of its aggressive plan to electrify its lineup. The ES90 electric sedan, which is designed to take on the likes of Tesla's Model S, will share its platform with the EX90 SUV and promises more than 300 miles of range. The EX30 Cross Country, which is the rough-terrain equivalent of Volvo's smallest electric crossover, is on track for delivery in February and will come with increased ground clearance and all-wheel-drive tires. These are against the backdrop of Volvo's highest-ever sales year in 2024, 23% of which came from electric cars. In spite of expecting the markets to become tricky in 2025, Volvo is holding true to its electric sales goal of 50% by 2025.
