Accelerating Growth: High-Level Meeting Tackles Key Hurdles in Gujarat & Rajasthan Mega Infra Projects

A high-level meeting chaired by Amardeep Bhatia, Secretary of the Department for Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade (DPIIT), was convened to address challenges impacting major infrastructure projects in Gujarat and Rajasthan. The session focused on expediting issue resolution through enhanced inter-ministerial and state coordination, facilitated by the Project Monitoring Group (PMG). The review covered 21 issues across 14 significant projects, including the Khavda Renewable Energy Park in Gujarat and Reliance Jio's 5G/4G expansion project, with a combined investment exceeding Rs 13,762 crore. The Khavda park is poised to generate approximately 81 billion units of clean electricity annually upon completion, significantly reducing reliance on fossil fuels. Additionally, the meeting emphasized the creation of around 15,200 green jobs across various sectors. Authorities were urged to adopt a proactive approach to resolve pending issues promptly.
