Adani Group Commits ₹55 Billion for Trivandrum Airport Expansion

The Adani Group has announced plans to invest ₹55 billion (approximately $660 million) in expanding the Trivandrum International Airport. This significant investment, revealed by Adani Ports MD Karan Adani, is part of the group's larger ₹600 billion commitment to airport infrastructure over the next decade. The expansion project, dubbed "Project Anantha," aims to increase the airport's capacity from 3.2 million to 12 million passengers annually by 2027. The upgraded facility will feature a new terminal inspired by Kerala's temple architecture, covering 165,000 square meters, along with improved amenities including a plaza, hotel, and modernized cargo complex. This development aligns with Adani Group's strategy to transform Indian airports into major international hubs.
