Adani Ports Makes Waves—100% Stake in East Africa Ports FZCO Signals Global Ambition

Adani Ports and Special Economic Zone Ltd. (APSEZ) has unveiled its establishment of East Africa Ports FZCO, a step-down subsidiary, demonstrating a major step in the advancement of the company's diversification and international business expansion plans. East Africa Ports FZCO will be incorporated and registered in the Dubai Multi Commodities Centre, United Arab Emirates, and will be 100% owned through Adani International Ports Holdings Pvt. Ltd. (AIPHL), which holds the complete ownership.

 

As per the filing made by the company on the stock exchange on Monday, East Africa Ports FZCO will conduct investment in commercial processors or in relation to the conduct of management activities, while creating intensification of the projects involving important global markets for Adani Ports. This incorporation is in conjunction with the entity's overall goal of scaling its marine & logistics operations internationally, particularly in regions of growth potential in Africa and the Middle East.

 

The recent announcement is provided by the record selling of the January to March reporting fiscal 2025 consolidated net profit of 3,014 crore, growth of 48% increase year on year, selling 23.1% year on year of revenue and supporting operational momentum.

 

The overall establishment of East Africa Ports FZCO incorporates the development of Adani Ports competencies in areas where cross-border trading activity can be achieved with the goal of supporting the company's construct of becoming one of the world's largest port operators by 2030.
