Air India To Resume Shanghai Flights And Expand Services In 2026

Air India is set to enhance its international network with the resumption and expansion of services to Shanghai in 2026. The airline confirmed that non-stop flights between Delhi and Shanghai will restart on February 1, 2026, with four weekly operations. This marks a significant step in rebuilding air connectivity between India and China, which had been disrupted in recent years.  

The carrier also revealed plans to launch a new Mumbai-Shanghai service, pending regulatory approvals. This addition will further strengthen bilateral ties and provide greater convenience for passengers traveling for business, trade, and leisure.
