Arunachal Pradesh Set to Unlock 50,000 MW Hydropower Potential, Says Vice President Dhankar

Vice President Jagdeep Dhankhar said that Arunachal Pradesh can develop a potential capacity of 50,000 MW of hydropower, which would make the state a driving force in the energy future of India. During the Nyokum Yullo festival in Kamle district, Dhankhar referred to the sector's potential investment of Rs 5 lakh crore. He appreciated the development of the state in infrastructure, such as air travel, railways, and 4G connectivity, crediting the government's "Act East" policy. Dhankhar also opened a multipurpose indoor hall and took part in local cultural events. The announcement highlights Arunachal Pradesh's importance in India's renewable energy sector and economic growth.
