Assam Governor Champions Education Reform at Higher Education Conference

Assam Governor Lakshman Prasad Acharya reiterated the pivotal importance of education for society's progress during the 'Higher Education in Assam 2025' conference on February 22. In his address to the primary stakeholders, Acharya called for improved university-industry collaborations, education for all, and adoption of NEP 2020. He pointed towards the incorporation of digital learning, research intensity, and holistic grievance redressal. The governor also emphasized how vacant teaching posts must be filled and gender balance ensured in technical education.
