Augmont Enterprises Files ₹8 Billion IPO to Expand Digital Gold and Ethical Jewellery Footprint

Augmont Enterprises, a leading player in India’s digital gold and bullion ecosystem, has filed its Draft Red Herring Prospectus (DRHP) with SEBI for an initial public offering (IPO worth ₹8 billion). The offering comprises a fresh issue of shares worth up to ₹6.2 billion and an Offer for Sale (OFS) of shares worth ₹1.8 billion by existing shareholders.

Key Highlights:

The IPO aims to raise capital to fund technology upgrades, expand retail presence, and scale its ethical jewellery brand Akoirah, which uses recycled gold and lab-grown diamonds.

Augmont’s business spans digital gold trading, bullion refining, gold-backed lending, and investible jewellery products. It serves retail and institutional clients through both online platforms and physical outlets.

The company plans to use the fresh proceeds to strengthen its logistics and warehousing infrastructure, enhance customer acquisition, and support its 100-store expansion plan across Tier 1 and Tier 2 cities.

The OFS component will allow early investors and promoters to partially exit, unlocking value and improving public float.

Augmont’s entry into the lab-grown diamond segment earlier this year aligns with its sustainability goals and positions it competitively against peers like MMTC-PAMP and SafeGold.

The IPO is being managed by JM Financial, Motilal Oswal, and Nuvama Wealth, with listing expected on both NSE and BSE subject to regulatory approvals.

With rising demand for digital gold and ethical jewellery, Augmont’s IPO is poised to attract strong investor interest and reinforce its leadership in India’s evolving gold-tech landscape.
