Australian Devotee Calls Mahakumbh Holy Dip “Experience for a Lifetime

A devotee from Australia took a holy dip at Triveni Sangam during the Magh Purnima ‘snan’ at the ongoing Mahakumbh 2025 in Prayagraj, calling it an “experience for a lifetime.” The Mahakumbh has drawn millions of devotees, with over 48.83 million participating in the holy dip on Maghi Purnima alone. Foreign pilgrims from countries like Belgium and France have expressed their admiration for the event, with one declaring it “the best place in the world for today.” The Uttar Pradesh government has put in place extensive safety measures, including a no-vehicle zone and special traffic arrangements, to handle the large crowds. The Mahakumbh, which started on January 13, will wrap up on February 26, 2025, with authorities estimating a final attendance of 50-55 crore devotees.
