BEL Achieves Milestone: 7,000th T/R Module Delivered for Rafale Radar

Bharat Electronics Limited (BEL) has achieved a remarkable milestone by delivering its 7,000th transmit/receive (T/R) module to Thales for the RBE2 radar, which is utilized in Dassault Aviation’s Rafale fighter jets. This accomplishment, announced on February 12, 2025, represents a significant success in the ongoing “Make in India” initiative. The partnership between BEL and Thales, which started in 2017, has grown in both scope and volume. This collaboration not only highlights BEL’s dedication to strengthening India’s defense capabilities but also illustrates the effective transfer of advanced technology. The RBE2 radar, specifically designed for the Rafale, is the first European AESA radar to be in service and has proven its effectiveness in combat.
