Bengaluru's Second Airport: Decision Imminent as Ministers Debate Location

Karnataka's government is on the brink of finalizing the location for Bengaluru's much-anticipated second international airport. Infrastructure Minister M B Patil announced that Chief Minister Siddaramaiah will make the final decision soon, following a high-level meeting. The shortlisted sites include Bidadi, Harohalli, and Solur, with ministers lobbying for their preferred locations. The new airport, designed to handle 100 million passengers annually, aims to alleviate congestion at the existing Kempegowda International Airport. The decision will consider factors such as connectivity, proximity to key areas, and potential for regional development.
