Bharat Tex 2025: PM Modi Highlights India’s Cultural Diversity in Textiles

Prime Minister Narendra Modi highlighted the importance of Bharat Tex 2025 in celebrating India’s diverse cultural heritage through its traditional clothing. During his speech at the event, he pointed out various regional outfits, such as Lucknowi chikankari, bandhani from Rajasthan and Gujarat, patola, Banarasi silk, Kanjivaram silk, and pashmina from Jammu and Kashmir.  Modi mentioned that Bharat Tex acts as a global stage for over 5,000 exhibitors and 6,000 international buyers from more than 120 countries. He called on the banking sector to back textile entrepreneurs, with the goal of increasing investments and exports. The Prime Minister also emphasized that India’s textile exports have reached ₹3 lakh crore, with an ambitious target of ₹9 lakh crore by 2030.  Bharat Tex 2025 will take place from February 14-17 at Bharat Mandapam, featuring exhibitions, conferences, and opportunities for innovation within the textile industry.
