Blinkit is prepared for fierce competition in India's quick commerce arena.

Zomato-owned Blinkit is expanding at a furious pace, opening 368 stores and adding 1.3 million square feet of warehousing in just two quarters, even as it expects to continue losing money in the fierce competition in India's quick commerce market. It plans to run 2,000 dark stores by December 2025, a year ahead of schedule, as rivals Zepto and Flipkart intensify their strategies. Analysts believe that this "land grab mode" would fetch heavy customer acquisition prices and, though likely to present losses in the short term, might be good for substantial long-term growth
