Themed “Nayi Soch Naya Bharat,” the initiative aims to empower young minds to develop innovative solutions that contribute to a self-reliant and forward-thinking India.

SYI 2025 is open to students from Classes 4 to 12 across India and Indian schools abroad. The program encourages participants to submit ideas that address real-world challenges, with a strong emphasis on creativity, sustainability, and social impact. Idea submissions are open until 20 November 2025, and the Grand Finale will be held at IIT Delhi on 19–20 December 2025.

Students from Classes 4–12, including those in Indian schools overseas, are eligible to participate.

Faculty development programs will train educators to mentor student innovators and build school-level entrepreneurship ecosystems.

Mentorship for Top 500 Teams:

Selected teams will receive structured guidance from IIT alumni, coordinated by PanIIT Alumni India.

National-Level Showcase:

The top 125 teams will present their ideas at IIT Delhi during the Grand Finale.

Special Recognition:

Awards include the Principal’s Award for school leaders who actively promote innovation.
Dr. Biswajit Saha, Director (Skill Education), CBSE, emphasized the shift from theoretical science projects to practical entrepreneurial action. Col. Anil Pokhriyal, CEO of MEPSC, highlighted the EQ Test’s role in shaping future-ready students. Shivani Singh Kapoor, Founder of ThinkStartup Foundation, described the Ideathon as a nation-building exercise through innovation.
