Breakthrough: India's First DIVA Marker Vaccine for Lumpy Skin Disease Approved

Biovet, a Bharat Biotech group company, has received CDSCO approval for Biolumpivaxin, the world's first Differentiating Infected from Vaccinated Animals (DIVA) marker vaccine for lumpy skin disease in cattle and buffaloes. This groundbreaking vaccine, developed in collaboration with ICAR, offers high safety and efficacy while enabling serological differentiation between infected and vaccinated animals. With the capacity to produce 500 million doses annually, Biolumpivaxin is set to revolutionize veterinary medicine and bolster India's self-reliance in animal healthcare. This development comes as a significant step towards protecting India's dairy industry from the devastating effects of lumpy skin disease.
