Breathing Life into Murree’s Forests: 800,000 Trees to Combat Deforestation

In a major environmental project, Murree will be receiving 800,000 trees to save its forests. In a recent ceremony, almost 500,000 saplings were planted by school children, district authorities, and Forest Department representatives. The ambitious plan is a part of a larger initiative to plant a total of 810,840 trees in the spring season of 2025, including 80,340 big trees, 130,500 small plants, and 600,000 seedlings. The project aims to fight deforestation and reclaim the natural beauty of the area, responding to concerns expressed by local residents regarding the effects of wildfires and illegal logging. The project demonstrates a dedication to sustainable forestry and the goal of improving biodiversity in the region.
