The event comes amid rising trade tensions with the US, as former President Donald Trump threatens 100% tariffs on BRICS nations if they undermine the US dollar. The summit will focus on global governance reform and strengthening cooperation among Global South nations. With recent expansions, BRICS now includes 11 full members and partner countries, representing a significant portion of the world's economic output.
