Bullseye Against All Odds: Payal Nag's Remarkable Rise in Para-Archery

Payal Nag, a 17-year-old para-archer from Odisha, has emerged as a standout performer at the Khelo India Para Games 2025. Despite losing all four limbs in an electrocution accident at age five, Payal has defied odds to become the world's first quadruple amputee archer. Discovered through a viral tweet, she was trained by coach Kuldeep Vedwan at the Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Archery Academy. Using a specially designed prosthetic device, Payal secured silver in the women's compound event, narrowly losing to Paralympic medalist Sheetal Devi in the final. Her remarkable journey from an orphanage to national recognition has inspired many, with Payal now aiming for Paralympic glory.
