CCI Clears ONGC-NTPC Green's Acquisition of Ayana Renewable

The Competition Commission of India (CCI) has approved ONGC-NTPC Green's proposal to acquire Ayana Renewable Power for ₹19,500 crore. This deal marks a significant expansion in India's renewable energy sector, increasing ONGC-NTPC Green's capacity to approximately 4.1 GW. The acquisition aligns with ONGC and NTPC's net-zero targets by 2038 and 2050, respectively. Ayana's assets are strategically located across resource-rich states with high-credit-rated off-takers.
