Chhattisgarh Budget 2025-26: Prioritizing Women, Poor, and Economic Development

The Chhattisgarh government will table its budget for the financial year 2025-26 on Monday, March 3, 2025. The budget, which is likely to be more than Rs 1.60 lakh crore, will give top priority to economic growth with emphasis on the poor, youth, farmers, and women. Finance Minister OP Choudhary will probably declare higher allocations for schemes favoring these groups, such as the Mahtari Vandan Yojana for women empowerment. The government also plans to double the state's GSDP to Rs 10 lakh crore by 2028. The budget is also likely to focus on infrastructure development, capital expenditure, and generation of employment in line with the vision of the state to become a developed state by 2047.
