Chip Off the Old Block: Mindgrove Forecasts IoT, Automotive, and 5G Boom

Mindgrove Technologies, the first fabless semiconductor startup of India, is predicting a steep growth in chip demand for IoT, automotive, and 5G industries in 2025. Mindgrove had recently released India's first commercial high-performance SoC titled "Secure IoT," running at 700 MHz. Shashwath TR, CEO and Co-Founder, stresses the increased demand for high-level chips to advance device AI and machine learning capabilities. With India eating more than a billion chips a year, Mindgrove hopes for 10-50 million can be displaced by Secure IoT. The organization intends to empower Indian brands in boosting innovation and production at scale, leading to self-sufficiency in India for the semiconductor market.
