Click, Apply, Receive: Ukhrul's Innovative Voter ID Delivery System

Making an unprecedented advance toward e-governance, Manipur's Ukhrul district has rolled out doorstep delivery of voter IDs by Common Service Centres (CSCs) successfully. It has been reduced by more than 70% through drastically diminishing processing times as well as government office visits made by the people. Through E-District Services platform, now the locals are able to get various documents, such as voter IDs, caste certificates, and health cards, completely online. The digitalization initiative has especially helped the youth first-time voters and individuals in far-flung regions. District Magistrate Kengoo Zuringla, who has been awarded for this initiative, dedicated the project to the recipients of these outreach services.
