Coal India Strengthens Energy Collaboration with Uttar Pradesh

Coal India has signed a memorandum of understanding with Uttar Pradesh Rajya Vidyut Utpadan Nigam to enhance coal supply efficiency and support stable power generation in the region. The agreement aims to streamline coal procurement for thermal power plants, ensuring a reliable energy supply for Uttar Pradesh.  

In addition to this partnership, Coal India has also entered into an MoU for the development of a 500 MW solar power project in the state. This initiative aligns with the company's broader strategy to diversify into renewable energy while maintaining its leadership in coal production. The solar project is expected to contribute to India's clean energy goals and reduce dependence on conventional power sources.  

Coal India has been actively expanding its presence in both thermal and renewable energy sectors, forging strategic collaborations with state utilities to optimize coal logistics and drive sustainable energy solutions.
