Cone-undrum Solved: Unilever's Sweet Separation Strategy

Unilever CEO Fernandez has firmly stated that the ice cream separation must be achieved by the end of 2025, to enable value unlocking and enhance company culture. Fernandez, who is not satisfied with the way previous people have handled ice cream development, said the new structure will really give the business the opportunity to be successful. It will allow Unilever to focus on core businesses while building a real "machine of demand creation." A demerger would take place including the names Ben & Jerry's and Magnum and would list in both Amsterdam and New York. He is convinced that this move will ensure maximum shareholder value and that the ice cream company will prosper in independence.
