Cryogenic Milestone: ISRO's Engine Test Paves Way for LVM3-M6

The Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) has carried out a successful hot test of acceptance flight of cryogenic engine of the LVM3-M6 mission. ISRO conducted this test at Mahendragiri, Tamil Nadu, at ISRO Propulsion Complex. A cryogenic engine, CE20, was checked for a duration of 100 seconds using an innovative Nozzle Protection System with non-vacuum conditions. This approach minimizes setup time and effort by a great extent, fast-tracking the availability of cryogenic engines for space missions. The CE20 engine will be fitted into the Cryogenic Upper Stage of the LVM3 launch vehicle for the mission planned in the second half of 2025. This milestone represents a breakthrough in India's space exploration capabilities, building strength for future missions.
