Ctrl+Alt+Delete: Maharashtra All Set To Delete Cyber Crime Offenders

Maharashtra has launched India's first-ever state-level Cyber Command and Control Centre in Navi Mumbai, a major step towards preventing cybercrime. The centre, which was inaugurated by Deputy Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis, is part of an INR 837 crore cyber security project. The centre will be powered with AI tools and high-end forensics and will function 24/7 with more than 150 experts. There will be a specialized helpline, 14407, functioning from March 15, 2025, for citizens to report cybercrimes. The aim is to strengthen online security, speed up investigations, and enhance conviction rates. The project further involves the plan to train 5,000 police officers each year in the management of cybercrimes.
