DCM Shriram's Green Revolution: 12 TPD Biogas Plant Breathes Life into Ajbapur

DCM Shriram Ltd has successfully commissioned its 12 Tonnes Per Day (TPD) Compressed Biogas (CBG) plant at its Ajbapur Sugar Unit in Uttar Pradesh. This ₹130 crore project, part of India's bioenergy policy, marks a significant step towards sustainable energy production. The plant will convert sugar mill waste into clean fuel, reducing dependence on fossil fuels. It's expected to supply CBG to Bharat Petroleum Corporation Limited for vehicle use and produce organic fertilizer as a by-product. This initiative aligns with DCM Shriram's commitment to ESG principles, following a recent ₹100 crore sustainable finance tie-up with Standard Chartered Bank for the project.
