Delhi's New Dawn for Women: ₹2,500 Monthly Scheme to Launch on Women's Day

The new BJP government in Delhi, with Chief Minister Rekha Gupta at the helm, has once again vowed to roll out the Mahila Samriddhi Yojana. The scheme will give ₹2,500 as monthly financial help to women beneficiaries in the city. In spite of allegations of an "empty exchequer" by the outgoing AAP government, CM Gupta has promised to credit the first installment by March 8, 2025, on International Women's Day. The plan, a flagship pre-election promise, will economically empower women. While final eligibility has yet to be decided, it is likely to assist a considerable majority of Delhi's female citizens, possibly changing lives throughout the city
