The Delhi government, led by Chief Minister Rekha Gupta, approved the Mahila Samriddhi Yojana on International Women's Day. The scheme will give eligible women in Delhi financial assistance of ₹2,500 per month every year of ₹5,100 crore. BJP National President JP Nadda announced that the scheme would be rolled out immediately to keep a key promise made during the election campaign. To oversee the implementation, CM Gupta chairs the Special Committee along with ministers Ashish Sood, Parvesh Verma, and Kapil Mishra. The registrations would be through a new web portal, which, with the help of Aadhaar-based e-KYC, will ensure transparency and efficiency in every aspect of its functionality. The scheme is trimmed at ensuring economic security and empowerment of women across the city, being a monumental stride towards women-led development in Delhi. Source: NDTV
