Dharavi 2.0: Mumbai's Slum Transformation Unveils a New Urban Vision

The ambitious Dharavi Redevelopment Project is set to reveal its master plan within a month, promising to transform Asia's largest slum into a modern micro-city. The Rs 2-3 lakh crore project, led by Adani Group's Navbharat Mega Developers, will rehabilitate 1.4 lakh units across 240 acres. The plan includes 100 million square feet for rehabilitation and 140 million square feet for free sale. With a focus on preserving local micro-enterprises, the project aims to create a new urban center with state-of-the-art infrastructure, social amenities, and economic opportunities. Completion is expected within seven years, potentially setting a global benchmark for human-centric slum redevelopment.
