Empowered and Evolving: Indian Women Take Charge of Finances

The inaugural India Today Gross Domestic Behaviour (GDB) survey reveals encouraging progress in women's financial independence. A significant 69% of respondents believe women should have full control over their earnings, highlighting a shift towards gender equality in financial decision-making. Kerala leads the way with 91% supporting women's financial autonomy. The survey also shows 93% backing equal education for daughters, indicating growing support for women's empowerment. While regional disparities persist, the overall trend points to increasing recognition of women's right to manage their finances. This positive shift reflects evolving societal norms and promises a more equitable future for Indian women.
