Exam Integrity on High Alert: Maharashtra Sets Up Committees for NTA Tests

The government of Maharashtra has formed state and district coordination committees to help maintain the transparent and smooth holding of national-level tests such as JEE Main, NEET, UGC-NET, and CUET. These committees were formed in view of the recommendations of the National Testing Agency (NTA). These committees will handle problems with exam malpractices and also assist the NTA in successfully conducting tests all over the state. The state committee, which is headed by the Commissioner of the State Common Entrance Test Cell, will set up a hotline among important officials and frame plans for ensuring exam integrity. District-level committees, headed by District Magistrates, will be responsible for choosing exam centers, conducting background checks on employees, and arranging proper facilities, including for differently-abled candidates.
