Emirates Airline President Tim Clark has made a huge $5 billion investment in retrofitting 220 aircraft within its fleet. The ambitious endeavor is intended to maintain and expand the airline's network despite persistent delivery delays of newer aircraft. The retrofitting program will involve both Airbus A380s and Boeing 777s, thereby maintaining product consistency throughout the fleet. The major overhaul entails the modernization of cabin interiors, fitting new seats, and adding Premium Economy class on additional aircraft. This move by Emirates is proof of its efforts to improve passenger experience and continue being competitive in the airline sector. The carrier anticipates concluding the retrofit program in 2025, with the first refurbished Boeing 777 arriving this summer.
