Finance Ministry Reshuffles Key Positions Ahead of Budget 2025

In a significant move just weeks before the Union Budget 2025, the Finance Ministry has announced major changes in top positions. Tuhin Kanta Pandey, the current DIPAM Secretary and Finance Secretary, has been appointed as the new Revenue Secretary. Simultaneously, Arunish Chawla, who briefly served as Revenue Secretary, will now lead DIPAM. Chawla will also hold additional charges as Secretary of the Department of Public Enterprises and Secretary of the Ministry of Culture. This reshuffle is seen as a strategic adjustment to strengthen leadership during the critical budget preparation period, with Pandey's experience in divestment and Chawla's diverse portfolio expected to bring fresh perspectives to their new roles.
