Flight into Efficiency: Delhi Airport Unveils AI-Powered Operations System

The Indira Gandhi International Airport in Delhi introduced an advanced AI-powered system called Unified Total Airside Management (UTAM) to streamline airside operations. The new platform uses artificial intelligence, machine learning, IoT, and radar technology to track airplane movements, follow ground vehicles, and forecast impending delays. UTAM offers real-time visibility into airside activity, improving the efficiency and safety of operations. The system is designed to minimize flight delays, enhance turnaround times, and facilitate smoother coordination among airlines, ground handlers, and security agencies. DIAL CEO Videh Kumar Jaipuriar stated that UTAM will greatly increase the airport's capability to handle complex operations and offer a better passenger experience.
