Flying High: Gaggal Airport Crowned No. 1 in India for Customer Satisfaction

Himachal Pradesh’s Gaggal Airport in Kangra district has achieved a remarkable milestone by securing the first spot in the prestigious 2024 Customer Satisfaction Survey Awards for domestic airports. The accolade, presented by Airports Authority of India (AAI) chairman Vipin Kumar during AAI’s annual day celebrations in New Delhi, recognizes the airport's outstanding commitment to passenger experience and service quality.

This win positions Gaggal Airport in front of Rajahmundry and Madurai airports that had secured second and third positions respectively. Over 100 domestic airports in India were evaluated in the survey, which noted Gaggal's outstanding performance in rendering hassle-free services to passengers.

Dhirender Singh, the Director of Gaggal Airport, was beaming with pride and declared great news, such as new routes to Jaipur and Dehradun. These will improve connectivity and draw more visitors during the coming tourist season. Additionally, regular flights will connect Gaggal to major cities like Delhi, Chandigarh, and Shimla, making it easy to access Himachal Pradesh's famous pilgrimage and tourist sites.

With a record of passenger traffic in 2024 and expansion plans underway, Gaggal Airport is consistently setting the pace in aviation excellence, with a promise of a rosy future for tourism in the area.
