From Retirement to Rings: Kohli's Olympic-Sized Surprise

Indian cricket great Virat Kohli set fans abuzz by indicating he could emerge from T20I retirement for the 2028 Los Angeles Olympics. At the RCB Innovation Lab Indian Sports Summit, Kohli quipped that he'd play a game if India reaches the gold medal final. The 36-year-old, who had retired from T20Is following India's World Cup win in 2024, was excited about the addition of cricket to the Olympics after 128 years. Though Kohli reiterates that he's playing right now for sheer fun, there seems to be a spark in him with the possibility of becoming Olympic champions. This surprise statement has left all cricket fans wondering if they will get to witness the great batsman wearing the blue jersey again in 2028.
