From Selfies to Security: How Adani's DigiYatra is Reshaping Air Travel

Adani Airports Holdings Ltd (AAHL) has finally expanded the DigiYatra service to all its seven operational airports, including Mangaluru and Thiruvananthapuram, as the latest addition to their bouquet. The introduction of the paperless travel experience based on facial recognition technology has witnessed high acceptance ever since its launch in August 2023. AAHL noted over 6.8 million DigiYatra transactions until now, with up to 37% usage at some airports on a single day. The initiative is geared toward providing considerable convenience for passengers and improved security, along with reduced waiting time at different checkpoints. The partnership with Thales to implement the Airport Operation Control Centre (APOC) adds even more credence to their commitment to enhancing airport management and passenger experience across India.
