Green Energy Push: Himachal Targets 90% Renewable Power By 2026

Himachal Pradesh is accelerating its transition towards clean energy under the leadership of Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu. The state government has announced a bold target to meet more than 90% of its energy demand through renewable sources, positioning Himachal as a model for sustainable development in India. The initiative is part of Sukhu’s vision to transform the state into a Green Energy State by March 2026, reducing dependence on conventional energy and strengthening self-reliance.
