HAL Revises LCA Mk-1 FOC Contract to ₹6,542 Crore with Strategic Amendment

Hindustan Aeronautics Limited (HAL) has inked an amendment to the Light Combat Aircraft (LCA) Mk-1 Final Operational Clearance (FOC) contract, updating its worth to ₹6,542 crore. The modification is based on revised project requirements and follows HAL's dedication to providing state-of-the-art indigenous fighter aircraft to the Indian Air Force (IAF). The amended agreement provides for the timely completion of the balance of LCA Mk-1 trainers by March 2025 and further enhances HAL's contribution towards India's defense self-reliance mission under Atmanirbhar Bharat. The decision follows as HAL looks forward to more orders, such as 97 more LCA Mk-1A aircraft.
