Helping Hands for Farmers: Centre to Bear Tomato Storage & Transportation Costs in MP

In a move to support tomato farmers in Madhya Pradesh, the central government has announced it will cover the costs of transporting and storing perishable agricultural commodities like tomatoes, onions, and potatoes. This initiative aims to reduce the price disparity between producing and consuming states, ensuring farmers receive better prices for their produce. Agriculture Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan emphasized the importance of this measure in stabilizing prices and benefiting both farmers and consumers.
