Hyundai's Multi-Billion Dollar Deals Need Shareholder Nod

Hyundai Motor India's planned related-party transactions valued at ₹31,526 crore are under the scanner with proxy advisory firms divided on recommending them. Stakeholders Empowerment Services (SES) has opposed six out of the seven resolutions on grounds of inadequate scrutiny and disclosure. Institutional Investor Advisory Services (IiAS), on the other hand, has recommended all seven resolutions. The split opinions reflect the growing power of proxy advisory firms in determining corporate governance matters. The resolutions will be tabled for shareholders' approval in March.
