IDN Spearheads Global Expansion of South Indian Cinema, Challenges Pricing Norms

Indywood Distribution Network (IDN) is transforming South Indian cinema's global outreach, especially Malayalam movies. Shyam Kurup, the director, confirms that Indian films are underappreciated abroad, even though they have enjoyed recent success. IDN has made history in terms of release with Unni Mukundan's "Marco" in South Korea and the upcoming 400+ screen release of "2018: Everyone Is a Hero" throughout South America. Kurup mentions the "golden period" of Malayalam cinema, referencing wins such as "All That We Imagine as Light" at Cannes and "The Goat Life" qualifying for Best Picture at the Academy Awards.
