IIT Bombay's Bold Move: Pioneering Courses for Tomorrow's Challenges

IIT Bombay is set to launch two groundbreaking courses in July 2025, addressing critical global needs. The four-year Bachelor of Science in Applied Geophysics and Master of Technology in Climate and Sustainability programs will equip students with cutting-edge skills for emerging industries. Announced by Director Prof. Shireesh Kedare during the 63rd Convocation, these additions reflect IIT Bombay's commitment to evolving education. The institute is also expanding its faculty, with 55 new members joining recently, including 125 women - the highest among all IITs. This initiative, coupled with a ₹2,500 crore infrastructure upgrade, cements IIT Bombay's position as a leader in technological education and research.
